2014 StandOuts: 14 Designers

This year there are several Filipino Designers that standout among the rest and of course everyone of us have our own choice of them so here is my list of 

14 Designers that Standout this 2014

(in no particular order)

1. Roland Alzate

Canada Philippine Fashion Week and Mercedes Benz Asia Stylo Fashion Week are 2 of major fashion events that showcased Filipino Talent outside the country and one of the stand out designers to showcase on the said events is Roland Alzate. Roland is definitely  One of the Best our country have and be proud of. High Class Taste and Great Craftsmanship are  two of his best assets that not everyone have. I can give you 100% assurance that if you wear an Alzate masterpieces You are unique, standout and definitely a Best Dressed but of course It Takes Guts to wear an Alzate.

2. Noel Crisostomo

with Roland Alzate, Noel Crisostomo also showed a spectacular masterpieces in the two fashion show events (Canada Philippine Fashion Week and Mercedes Benz Stylo Fashion Week) plus he also presented his menswear collection in the First Toronto Mens Fashion Week. No doubt this Well Established Filipino Designer has nothing to prove to us because his creations speaks for itself how creative and stylish it is. Not to mention he is also the creative director of the most innovative and stylish local brand C2 Collezione.

3. Cheetah Rivera

Haven't seen any fashion show of Cheetah Rivera nor her collection or pieces in person until Manila Fashion Festival. Everything about her collection is a shocking awesome pieces. At first I really don't know what to expect from her and her aesthetics.until Manila Fashion Festival came. Seeing and Touching her pieces backstage and in the runway, Damn! It was Magnificent!

4. Jaz Cerezo

Another shocking Designer, What i meant of shocking is in a good way. Why did I say its shocking, its because before I see her collection not really a so-so collection. Its great but I don't find any remarkable pieces that will stuck in my mind until her spring/summer collection 2015 which she showcased last Manila Fashion Festival. That White Long Dress is a show stopper! For me on that day, That collection of Jaz Cerezo is definitely a REMARKABLE and SHOW STOPPER! She is really a great designer and that dress will always reminds me of her and how great she is.

5. Mark Bumgarner

Honestly speaking, I don't know him and his aesthetics or whatsoever but I always hear his name and i never bother google it maybe because I'm close minded with the Designers that I love and I don't mind others. But when that day, The day I first met him at Art Personas Office. This one has a good taste level because it really shows in his clothing and stuff. on the last day of Manila Fashion Festival, when the models are wearing there Mark Bumgarner Piece. I asked myself Why didn't I know him way back. He is a Creative Genius. Everything in his collection is Fantastic and he does it with Class!

6. Eric Delos Santos

I have no doubt on putting his name on my list of designers that standout this year because every season Eric Delos Santos Collection is one of the collection that is really a must watch collection and also must have during Philippine Fashion Week! His vision of what's next is really amazing that it really reflect so much on his collection. This Super Nice Designer is definitely one of the Standouts of 2014 and I won't get tired of putting him even for next year because I know he will standout among the rest gain next year or next season.

7. Ann Ong

she might not the first one to do such kind of accessories  and bags but her vision makes it more standout even to those who started it plus she is on her 2nd year now and she already have customers all over the world. She have shops in the country and outside the Philippines. What she does is not she is  not stopping on looking out for more and create different stuff from items which you will think that is not usable anymore and there she create a Standout Pieces.

8. Adrian Sahagun

Making his name at his hometown, This young designer already proves his creativity to everyone as he entered the final 3 on the reality show Mega Young Designers Competition last year. Its just they weren't given that much attention after the show. But it became his stepping stone to create more standout pieces. Now he is running their family business and still doing designing and creating awesome pieces. He is also now one of the most indemand designers in their town.

9. Nat Manilag

 One of the Designers to go whether you are a celebrity, socialite or simple person. Nat Manilag had serve different kind of people with his outstanding pieces. Nat is very well known with his gowns and suits. Last October, He represented our country to Sakura Collection 2014 in Kansai, Japan and he did an awesome creation and also this year he do collaboration with local shoe brands.

10. Chris Diaz

He does his own way with his collection. He knows what he wants. His collection is always a must see collection. I really felt sad before when he needs to leave the Mega Young Designer Competition  as a mentor due to his illness because I know he has what it takes to be a mentor to those young designers because he knows what is good and not and it clearly shows with his collection after the show ends in Philippine Fashion Week and Manila Fashion Festival and other shows.

11. Ron Ramiro 

At first I'm not a fan of his designs maybe because we all have different likes and dislikes But I really appreciate him and his designs when he does his collection for Manila FAME last March. everything there was awesome from then he does shoes for the collections of Noel Crisostomo, Roland Alzate to name a few. But before then he is already well known but for me he really just standout this year.

12. Jeffrey Rogador

His Jeepney Collection was the most talked about collection for Holiday 2014 because of it being so patriotic that everyone craved to have it. I think that makes Jeffrey Rogador more known with that design that he made. I personally wanted to have one until a lot already have and somehow i find it overused already because all kinds of clothing is with that same print already. 

13. Albert Andrada

Mercedes Benz Stylo Asia Fashion Week Asia's Most Connected Designer 2014.

No need for more explanation. This award explains everything that makes him

one of the 14 Designers that Standout this 2014.

14. Francis Libiran

I'll call myself stupid if I won't appreciate this designer that every girl wants to wear his design. Francis Libiran is definitely One of the It Designers to go to right now. Most Indemand Designer. 

For me, The Best thing that happen and he did this year is his collaboration with Havaianas that showcase why its more fun in the Philippines in the Flipflops he designed.
