It all started with an e-mail that i sent to Ms. Bianca and It really made my day because she still recognized me with all the stuff that I post in my Instagram. I am so lucky that she gave me this opportunity to have her in my blog. I really consider this as My Best Blog post that I have as of now. 1. How did you break in to the Magazine industry?
My
friend Suki Salvador who is the Executive Creative Director of One Mega
Group asked me if I was interested. I was looking for a new challenge
in my life so I took it on.
2. What did you do before starting at Meg Magazine?
I was already a TV host and I also was starting my column in Philippine Star around the same time I joined the meg team.

3. Was Fashion always a part of your life?
Not really. I've never considered myself to be fashionable. I just like looking put together. Meg is not just a fashion magazine, but a young woman's well rounded-ness guide, which is why I said yes to the job.

4. What does an Editor-at-Large do?
I asked for the title Editor at Large and not EIC because first, I did not work up the ranks like most in the publishing business do. I was an outsider coming in. And second, because I have a full time job, I would not be able to go to the meg office everyday which I felt may be unfair to my girls. So I asked for an at Large title instead.

5. How did working at Meg Magazine influence you?
I learn so much everyday from my team. Their taste and opinion mold my personal taste and opinion too.

6. What qualities does an
Editor-at-Large needs to have?
In a nutshell, I my job requires me to have a pulse for what should be and should not be in the magazine, requires me to motivate my girls well, and requires me to set the overall direction of the magazine.

7. What do you wear on work?
I usually wear a basic top, pants, and heels. I love shoes.

When I have to wear gowns I prefer Martin Bautista, Veejay Floresca, Rajo Laurel, Joey Samson.

11. What is the biggest misconception about being an Editor-at-Large?
That magazine work in general is all glamour? Because it is a lot of hard work.

Most of who I met as an editor, I already knew or already met as a model.

20. Who are the TV Host that you really admire?
I admire Boy Abunda and Kris Aquino for their ability to make anything at all seem interesting.

Every show I've done has helped. From the morning show to entertainment talk shows to reality shows to debate shows.

22. How do you control your personal thoughts whenever you are reporting?
I report for entertainment so it isn't as strict with controlling emotions, compared to news.

I take it in. Every criticism has value to me.

25. Have you had any doubt on yourself ?
All the time. There will always be someone better, prettier, smarter, wittier, but that is all part of it and I use it as motivation to make myself better.

I've interviewed a lot of my dream interviews. I still have a lot on my list like PNoy, MVP, RSA.
27. Who are your closest friend in the industry?
In
the showbiz industry? Would still be Mariel and Toni. Luis also. I've
also gotten closer to Bernadette, and Atom who I've worked with since
college, we're batchmates.
28. Who is Bianca Gonzalez as a friend?
Haha! Not sure. Maybe you should ask my friends. But I would like to think I am the same person I was in high school and college. Staying grounded is extremely important to me.

I think I met JC at a time that I was mature enough to not be afraid of misconceptions about ballers.

I've learned a lot from JC. From practical things, like how to run a household, to bigger things like the importance of keeping a good heart, no matter what.
