The New Chinoy Heartthrob in the Making!

Mr. and Ms. Chinatown 2013 is official done.
The winners was already announced.
I am so lucky to have an interview with
of one of the winners and actually one of
my top 5 choice to be the Mr. Chinatown.

The interview is not really a one-on-one personal interview.
It is still my pleasure to ask him questions
and luckily to get an answer from him.

WHO is HE?


He is Jerome Edward Dy Tan, a Management Graduate from Chiang Kai Shek College.
 The 1st Runner-up on the last Mr. Chinatown 2013.
This nice guy from Manila really gave a great fight on the last pageant.
He might be pressured on the Q&A. but I guess everyone 
will feel the same when someone will be on that position.

as he answers my questions.

1. Define your personal style.
-My style is more about simplicity and actually to really look good.

2. Favorite local brands
-Bench and Folded & Hung

3. Favorite International Brands
-Uniqlo, Cotton On, Zara, Topman and H&M
 
4. Style Icons
-Nothing much on Style Icons.
 
5. Favorite Wardrobe Pieces

-Favorite wardrobe pieces well tank tops, long sleeves and plan white v necks

6. Style Tips
-Just be yourself because you yourself can tell what attire you are comfortable with.



7. What makes u decide to join Mr. Chinatown?
-I wanted to join this just for the experience,coz I never had an experience before like this one. 

8. Who influenced or Encouraged to join the competition?
-My co-workmates just told me to try out for this competition/pageant/search then I tried. 

9. What was your best asset that time on the competition?
-Well i think my best asset is my self-confidence. Im just being myself and let them see who really I am.

10. What is the hardest part/experience you had encountered during the competition?
-The hardest part/experience I had was to loose some weight for the competition and some personal issues. Luckily, I can control myself  and anger by not to be affected that much on the struggles I had.

11. The Biggest Learning you had on the competition?
-Well I really learned a lot especially to our Handler Tito Keren who guide us and teach us how to be well disciplined in front of people and how to interact with the big bosses and others.
 
12. Who among your co-finalists become your closest friends?
-5,7,9,12,14,15,16 they inspired and teach me not to give up in every problems that i will face and just be true to yourself just be natural and professional when handling some situations. Most especially candidate #5 Josse Miguel Lasala he became my brother, since i was an only child in our family. He changed my perception and decision making in life he taught me how to be positive in all kinds of situation and how to handle things properly he became my "kuya/bestfriend"

13. If you will be given the chance to change your answer in the Q&A, will you change it? If yes, what will be your answer?
- I think i would change it but since the people understand my answer so its okay already. Its done already. Never look back and just move on.


14. What is your greatest fear?
-My greatest fear is that i have a tendency to over think things and on the latter part i became paranoid on things and situations.

15. Who makes you smile?
-My family and friends and co-finalist. They've been so supportive through out this pageant.

16. Do you believe in Feng Shui?
-Well Some of the Feng Shui are true. I'm not saying that i don't believe, but I'm just saying that some of them is really true.

17. First Chinese word you learned?
-The first Chinese word that I've learned is 我 (wo) it means me.


18. What is your biggest dream?
- Well my biggest dream is to be a part of showbiz and to be a successful man and have a great and supportive wife and a great career.

19. With the 1000+ friend request you received in Facebook, how many of them you already accepted?
-I am sorry to say that i cant accept them because there are too many friend requests and its too long for me to accept them one by one.

20. What is your reaction for the title of this future article/blog post "The New Chinoy Hearthrob in the Making!"

-Well its flattering because i never knew that I am going to be an icon to people since i came from a plus sized guy, i never had these kind of compliments before.

Keep on supporting our co finalist because we all exerted so much effort just to be a part of this pageant. "Dreams do come true" so just keep on believing yourself on what you can do and be well disciplined in your everyday life decisions and stay positive at all times. Whatever decisions you make be sure to Never look back and just keep on moving. Mapa maganda man o hindi ang desisiyon nyo sa buhay just keep on moving. Don't stop.
