Name: Rhonee Rojas
Years in Modeling: 4
Personal style: anything that makes me look cool
Favorite Shops: Zara, River Island (UK brand), Diesel
How did you first become interested in Modeling?
I actually been interested in modeling since I was in high school but I never got to do it seriously because I was highly involved in athletics, most specifically volleyball. I trained a lot to prepare myself to play volleyball at the university level which left me no time to do other stuff. It wasn't until I finished my collegiate volleyball career and my college education that I had time to do other stuff such as modeling.
Favorite people you'd worked with in the industry?
I have worked with so many wonderful people in the fashion industry in the Philippines. I have worked with some of the most talented and creative designers, photographers, fashion stylists, make-up artists, hair stylists, directors, models, etc. The list is endless.
First thing you do when you wake up?
I check my phone for any messages I may have missed while I was sleeping which then leads me to scrolling my Facebook newsfeed.........hahaha.
Favorite Day in the week?
Friday
Does it matters to you what others say about you?
Absolutely not. I know who I am and I know what I stand for and for me that is all that matters.
Last Movie you've watched?
"The Heat" starring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy
What is the most interesting place you have ever traveled to?
I have been so blessed to have traveled to nearly 70 countries in the last 7 years. It's hard to chose just one. Although if I had to chose one it would be my trip to Reykjavik, Iceland and soaking in the Blue Lagoon Geothermal Spa.
Things you cannot live without?
My mom's Filipino cooking! She makes the best Sinigang na Baboy.
Most Embarrassing Moment?
My most embarrassing moment happened in college. I was sitting in the last row of a lecture class that I was in with about 200 students. I was chewing gum and made a huge bubble and it POPPED really loud. Literally the entire class turned around and stared at me. I was so embarrassed I froze and didn't say a word.
Do you believe in Angels?
Of course I do. They help me fly:-)
Black or White? Black
Shoes or Bags? Shoes
Inside or Outside? Outside
Jungle or City? City
Manila or Hawaii? I love both places equally
Zara or H&M? Zara
Bed or Sofa? Bed
Ice cream or Cake? None of the above
Blond or Brunette? Blonde
Walking or Running? Running
Pepsi or Coke? I don't drink soda
Who inspires you?
My cousin Rowena Mendiola inspired me. She actually past away 2 years ago from cervical cancer and her life has taught me to live life to the fullest. Since her passing I found this quote that I live by everyday..........."Don't dream it, be it, do what you want to do, go where you want to go and be what you want to be. Its your life so live it!" Everything that I do, is in memory of her.
If you could change a decision you have made in the past, what would it be and why?
I honestly can say I would not change any decisions I have made in the past. I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and you should never live with any regrets.
How do you define inspiration?
Inspiration to me is someone who strives to inspire people. I am a huge supporter in giving back to the Filipino Community. I am so proud of the fact that I started my own scholarship foundation in which I award monetary scholarships to students in Bernabe Elementary School in Pasay City who exemplifies both academic and athletic achievement. I enjoy visiting and being active in different organizations such as the Hospicio de San Jose and the Pangarap Foundation. I hope my actions can inspire others to give back in any way they can.
What does Rhonee Rojas do in his Off Days?
I definitely try to catch up on some needed sleep. I also try to relax my mind and enjoy a funny movie.
