13 Things We Should Know About: Ms. Gitri San Diego
1. I took up Bachelor of Science and Commerce Major in Business Management at DLSU. I should’ve taken up LIA-COM.
2. My first official writing gig was for Preview Magazine’s Cocoon. I got to interview my idol Tweetie De Leon Gonzales about her San Juan home.
3. I worked as a copywriter for three years handling accounts such as Citibank, HSBC and Lucky Strike.
4. My first show in ABS-CBN was ASAP Mania and my assigned host was Claudine Barretto.
5. The first teleserye I ever did was Krystala.
6. I did two other consecutive teleseryes with Ms Judy Ann Santos after that, Sa Piling Mo and Ysabella.
7. I’ve written for variety, talk, reality, drama but I will never do comedy. I’m not funny in writing.
8. I also used to write for Studio 23 and the Lifestyle Channel for shows like Us Girls and Metrowear Presents
9. My favorite, favorite show that I’ve ever done is Star In A Million, the singing search that made Erik Santos a star. I had so much fun and learned a lot.
10. But my most favorite drama is, of course, Magkaribal.
11. I love beauty pageants. I have been writing for Binibining Pilipinas, since ABS-CBN got back the rights for it. It’s been 3 years now. We’ve also started the franchise for Mr & Ms Chinatown this year. That was a lot of fun.
12. Currently, I’m working on a drama that tells the story of two brothers.
13. My ultimate dream is to write a column for a broadsheet and publish a book someday.
